Nina first experienced Authentic Movement during her dance therapy training in 2004. In 2011 she began to work with Janet Adler, discovering the Discipline of Authentic Movement as an embodied practice of conscious awareness. She has practiced for 5 years in the Internship Program of the Discipline of Authentic Movement with annual retreats on Galiano Island with Janet Adler (2013-2017). Her study and practice in Circles of Four was completed in 2017.
She offers individual sessions and group work in the Discipline in weekend seminars, year-long groups, and retreats. Nina is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT, ISMETA) and has a diploma in Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy (UK). She studied Somatic Psychotherapy, Process Oriented Psychology, and Integrative Dance Movement Psychology and Psychotherapy. Dance is her passion; as a dancer she participates in various performances and art projects. She believes in the wisdom of the body and the healing power of the movement.
