Isabella Gross first experienced Authentic Movement in 2002 in preparation for her Dance Movement therapy training and felt an immediate and strong calling towards this practice. Following her longing for deep immersion and commitment she started her Discipline of Authentic Movement practice with Fran Lavendel in 2011 in group retreats and individually. She joined the Circles of Four in 2014 with Irmgard Halstrup as her retreat teacher and Susanne Hofler-Resch as her supervision teacher and completed the program in 2023.
Isabella offers the Discipline of Authentic Movement in her studio in Linz to individuals and small groups. Her study of the Discipline of Authentic Movement also profoundly informs Isabella’s therapeutic work, in which her knowledge and experience from Dance Movement Therapy and Somatic
Experiencing® coalesce with a deep trust in the embodied self as our guide towards wholeness.
Isabella holds a Master’s degree in Education Science from Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria. She is a Dance Movement therapist listed with the Austrian DMT association BTA and a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner.
