Linda Hartley is a retired faculty member of Circles of Four, having been a Teacher during its foundational years. She was introduced to the Discipline of Authentic Movement in 1981 by students of Janet Adler. In 1993 she began to participate in retreats with Janet, and occasional workshops with Tina Stromsted, entering a lifelong commitment to the mover–witness relationship.
In her teaching, Linda emphasizes embodied awareness, deep listening, compassionate presence and inner witness development. She integrated Authentic Movement principles into her professional somatic movement training program (IBMT), and has been teaching workshops, ongoing courses and retreats in the Discipline since 2000. She continues to hold regular retreats for dedicated students who have been practicing with her for many years.
